Home is a fortress, a place where a person should feel completely safe. But the present-day realities in my country, which you see daily in the Ukrainian news, are fundamentally different. Our fortresses have turned into risk zones.

I feel like “immigration is crime but bribes are not” is not a winning “law and order” message. This is my own bias but I think Dems need to make “the rule of law” one of their planks, and it will matter to a decent slice of electorate.
