“Ukraine is more than just power outages and war,” read a comment under one of my posts. And it’s true: Ukraine is a living organism, not just a news headline. But it is vital to understand: saying it’s “not only war” does not mean the WAR IS GONE.

This harsh winter for my country is not yet over, but every Ukrainian is already thinking ahead: will we have to freeze again next winter? What will it be like? Will we have time to repair all the houses and be ready… On the whole, the end of the war already feels like a mirage in the desert.

In this video the 00:17 mark, you can see what happens every day, regardless of the weather: EVACUATION. News about this has faded into the background as low temperatures shift the focus to survival in the capital and other cities. Meanwhile, russian forces are trying to advance across our territor.

In Ukraine, there is an expression: “This person has neither shame nor conscience,” which defines a person’s character through and through. I don’t know how to describe people who continue to do everything in their power to make my people suffer more and more.

Two months of winter are already behind us, and the "middle finger" of the Ukrainian people is still held high in putin's face. Because Ukrainians refuse to submit, even in such brutal conditions.

Vice Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba reported that just over 900 residential buildings across the country remain without heating, 613 of which are in Kyiv.

Strolling through the streets of Odesa, one can observe not only the beauty of this Ukrainian city but also the numerous scars of war. The longer it continues, the more wounds appear on the architecture of the city and its homes.

It is amazing how much a person has without realizing it in ordinary life. We used to take the warmth of radiators or the ability to simply wash with warm water for granted. This winter, these small things have become a luxury...

This is not what we Ukrainians would want to see from our windows in winter. It would be better if the voices and laughter of children making snowmen or playing snowballs echoed from the courtyards of residential areas.

Each of you sees Ukraine from afar and on the surface, but what is actually happening this winter inside the apartments and homes of Ukrainians? We are trying to stay warm by any means available, trying to protect our loved ones and our pets from the cold.

This is what evening in Kyiv looks like right now. At more than fifty locations at this very moment, the aromas of delicious hot food are filling the air. It warms not only people's bodies but their spirits as well. It’s about -10°C (14°F) outside.

Today, I heard some very moving and profound words from a Kyiv resident: «Kyiv is not about the light in the windows; it is about the light within the people.» This city faces enormous difficulties every day. High-rise buildings have turned from cozy apartments into refrigerators.

I call this a cry from the heart! A cry from the heart of Kyiv residents about the situation they have found themselves in this winter. Larysa, a resident of Kyiv, shares the latest updates regarding the heating situation in her apartment building with a journalist.

Kyiv. It is currently minus 15 degrees Celsius (5 degrees Fahrenheit). Just imagine what the temperature is like in these concrete houses without heating, and how people sleep in them. Currently, 471 buildings in the city are without heating.

Mobile 'Points of Invincibility' have been running non-stop in Kyiv for five days. Our rescuers are doing incredible work helping the community, with 45 points open at over 30 locations. Around 600 people were assisted today, and nearly 6,000 have been helped over the last five days.

People sleep in apartments at temperatures as low as minus 5 degrees Celsius (about 23 degrees Fahrenheit). Houses stand without windows or doors. Firewood has replaced radiators. Campfires in the streets serve instead of gas or electric stoves. Water is carried in buckets.

Savyntsi is a village in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. As of 2024, its population stands at 2,982 residents. The charitable organization "Ukraine TrustChain" has organized another round of aid for the Ukrainian people. The people are deeply grateful, and you can see it for yourselves on their faces

… outside the window, there is winter and war. At night, temperatures in many Ukrainian cities drop to -19°C approximately -2.2°F. Many homes remain without electricity or heating. People wear layers of warm clothing indoors and place fire bricks on gas stoves in an attempt to heat their apartments.

On days like these, you realize how good it is that winter in Ukraine lasts only about three months. These are the very months when the russians want to break people’s spirits in the cities, knowing that the elderly and children will suffer from the cold first.

Winter… The very period that we want to end as soon as possible, and this year it seemed colder. Mobile Points of Invincibility run by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine remain open for civilians across Kyiv and the Kyiv region.

No, this is not a nuclear explosion. The rest of the world can still sleep and live in peace. This is just another night in Ukraine, the view from the window of an ordinary Kyiv resident.

For the second consecutive day, russia has been launching continuous mass attacks on the cities of Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih. This video shows Kryvyi Rih right now; this residential building, where civilians lived, was hit by a russian army missile. 13 people have been injured.

You are spending a quiet evening with your family when suddenly, a russian shell hits your apartment... Yes, this video is about exactly that. This evening, russian occupiers launched an artillery strike on the Korabelnyi district of Kherson, hitting a high-rise residential building.

Everything revolves around talk of "peace," but the more the russians speak of it, the more buildings crumble and the more people die in my country.

Today, russians struck a residential neighborhood in the city of Uman with missiles - a city in central Ukraine. The only consolation is that people are alive, though six Ukrainians sustained injuries of varying severity, and two of the wounded are children.
