Best Dr Pepper I ever had was at this burger joint in downtown Austin that had Dublin Dr Pepper as a fountain drink (The Wholly Cow, which isn’t there anymore). It was during my first SXSW. The next year Dublin Dr Pepper got sued so it was no longer available, and people, I’m still not over it.

Great piece. I saw SWITCHBLADE SISTERS at the Angelika in 1996, and most of the audience was clearly expecting something more art house than grindhouse. When they realized they were watching unabashed exploitation trash, they were *pissed*. Viva Jack Hill and Robbie Lee!

I do think there's value in learning handwriting and cursive. It engages the brain in a way that texting doesn't; it gives your brain activity as you formulate a thought and put it on paper. Writing longhand can be frustrating but it also causes you to construct what you want to write with care.

THEY WILL KILL YOU: Silly but fun. Zazie Beetz has to slaughter a hotel’s worth of Satan worshipping immortals to save her sister. Gory, goofy, but not without charm. You can see a billion influences on it, from Raimi, to Carpenter, to Tarantino, to Rodriguez, many others. Still, had fun with it.
