Hey Portland, if you see the 1986 Toyota MR2 with silly red/yellow wheels and the license plate VCP 230 it's mine and it's stolen, please call it in! It is noticeable and I would be thrilled to get it back.

Hey folks! BIJAN (
www.beyondbondboston.org/
) is a Mass-based org that does a LOT of good in immigration support. In 2026 alone, they've paid over $1.5 million(!!) in bonds to free people from detention. But now their funds are running critically low, and they need donations urgently.

"Benches are where optimistic visions of civic life meet reality. To remove them, or to curate who gets to sit, is to abandon the work of defining a civic ideal and determining, together, how to live up to it." NEW: Why benches are slowly disappearing from public spaces — and why we need them back:

The Disappearance of the Public Bench
Benches are microcosms of an expansive debate about who belongs in urban public spaces. When they are removed or made uninviting, we lose more than just a place to rest.

Did you know that the bees that need saving are NOT honeybees? Honeybees are the dairy cows of bees. People brought them over from Europe to make us honey. The problem with honeybees, esp in resource-limited ecosystems (like hey! cities!) is that they compete with our native bees for food.
