I have been affected by the Bungie layoffs. My heart is crushed for all those wonderful people who poured their soul into this game we all loved for over 10 years. It didn’t have to end like this. Destiny has been my third home and not only is now gone but its developers too. 💔💔💔

Survived two layoffs only finally lose it on this one. To the RAD Team: it’s been an honor and a privilege. To the D2 Team: y’all were incredible and deserve better. To the players: I’m sorry.

I sincerely thought Bungie was going to be my forever home in this industry. Alas, I'm back on the job market. I'm immensely proud of the work I got to do on Destiny, and the people I got to build an experience of a lifetime with.

This game isnt just a part of my life, it MADE my life because i wouldve became a very different person without it. So i'll do whatever it takes to help keep the lights on as long as the community is here. Promise

After almost ten years at Bungie I was laid off today. I started on Destiny 2 in 2016 and was one of the first handful of people to join the Marathon incubation team at the end of 2019. The loss today, like so many of these days, is immeasurable. We built some really incredible things together.

After a decade of working at Bungie, today was my last day as I am being laid off. If anyone needs a Producer, let me know.

Well, I've been affected by the Bungie layoffs, and I guess I'm now looking for work. I'm a senior narrative designer on Destiny 2. I'm going to thread a little list of stuff I've done on the game; normally I go out of my way to avoid attention, but today I'd appreciate reposts.

I wanted to say to any bungie devs, past and present, who might see this: you made something special. So many people still hold a lot of love for D2, whether they're coming back to play it or just treasuring the memories they have. Please know that your work is cherished 💙

Our games industry is people. Our studios are people. Our teams people, our games by people for people. Our games are made by people, in groups of people, in teams of people, making people things for people. The magic is people, and the people deserve so much better than all this. I am so sorry.

Destiny didn’t fall short of expectations, LEADERSHIP did. Some of the most out of touch people who only saw the $ & held a beloved franchise to the coals because it didn’t fit their margins. Devs suffocated under the immeasurable weight of their greed. Everyone who has worked there deserves better.
