So many of us are losing our pets at the moment. I took my two cats, brothers, aged 17 on a one way journey to the vets this afternoon. They were failing fast. Could they have lasted longer? Maybe. Was it kind? Probably. Even so, their deaths fill the house with an unwelcome silence.
