Violence must stop in the Middle East. I condemn in the strongest terms the terrorist attack carried out today in East Jerusalem. My sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of Israel. Only a political solution can lead to lasting peace in Israel and Palestine.

I finished my third visit to Ukraine in less than a year. I had a good meeting with President Zelenskyy. We discussed the outcome of yesterday’s meeting of the Coalition of the Willing and took stock of the EU’s support to Ukraine’s military effort in order to ensure a just and lasting peace.
