Wario Land (GB) I don't think I have beat it since I was a kid. Masterpiece. In the voice of an Irish SF podcaster, "It's a game about a fat lad who can't run very fast or jump very high, and you'll never believe this, he's greedy." I joke, but the game is so much defined by being NOT Mario.

The US Mario's Picross ad team really loved the idea of a big bulging brain.

after you're done with all the puzzles in Mario Picross, there are a million different options on the switch also from Jupiter. Even this namco one I would definitely not recommend over the main numbered ones.

I accomplished what I set out to do and picked up the Retro Achievements mastery for Great Greed on Game Boy! This is the 72nd game beaten on stream while playing RA (11th mastery), and the 87th game I've beaten in 2025. Thanks for the recommendation @yokoikids.bsky.social !

In the Japanese version of Great Greed there is a scene where you have can opt to share a bed with your companion. And then you have to fight your "naughty delusion." tcrf.net/Great_Greed

Since we're always mashing to get past all the text in the battle screens, we only hear the first two seconds of the victory music. It actually gets pretty cool as it keeps playing.

I love the Dragon sprites in the game, with Dracette being my favorite so far.

Really, we can't get enough of the weird enemies in Great Greed. Who's your fave?

This is my favorite og Gameboy RPG. It's not talked about enough. I've wanted someone to do a colorized version of it forever. I beat it in high school and have great memories of it.

To get a vibe on how silly Great Greed is, here's an except from the manual. "Go to the Cinnamon Village. At the Inn, meet Truffle Greene, she’s upstairs. After going to Nutmeg Village, go to the Hot Hot Village and talk to ALL of the runners: Go to the forest and get the Ultrahot flower."

This is a fun goofy game with some neat gimmicks for the different areas you travel through, a nice simple breezy RPG. Recommend!
