This was my chance for some experimental photography & also pay tribute to the PNW scene I grew up in. I was just a young teen when Charles Peterson was in Seattle clubs capturing blurred-out magic for Sub Pop. So b/c of Teppen I found myself in a Seattle club on a Friday night & shot in his style.

Asking this question of myself is how I launched the Other People's Music project. Let me tell you, it is EXTREMELY rewarding to use your skills to do something kind and useful for someone with no expectation of reward (as contradictory as that sounds).

Yeah this the monster truck cds, Hana picture disc, & a few more adult things too. I love that you can tell the Ram release is from Lake Shark b/c Sam aka The Rita, has a signature style. Gravure Girls – Saki Akai (the lo-rez art feels right)

A bunch of the tape releases and the Manami Toyota set w/ gravure booklet. I have alternate layouts of the SLK trifold artwork as I was a sounding board for the art direction. That Suzu tape is mean as hell w/ wicked photos. Gold band on the Sareee tape is a nice touch. Madusa has tons of extras.

The Blood Quest of Sera Risa is the ultra ltd version, number 1 of 6 that includes a DVD of the film he projects during performances and Gravure Girls CD. Mayu Iwatani has a hand cut belt around the album. Special edition of Women’s Most Violent that I think was for the last Japan tour.

End of an era: years worth of Slit Throats releases that became a mountain at Roman‘s house. It was covid so I said wait to ship & then the rule was the pile can grow until it falls on Maika (his cat) or he gets sick of it. Mailed it out before heading to Japan for Machine Parts. However, Japanese Wikipedia is in-depth in most cases (I know Japanese fans who contribute, & they are beyond thorough, going off decades of 1st hand knowledge).

On May 31, 2025 I saw Manami Kakudo manipulate the world around her into music. The wind, the rain, just more instruments at her disposal. It has stuck with me as one of the most powerful, albeit, brief performances I've ever seen in person. We are all part of Manami Kakudo's musical universe.

Speaking of ProCo here is my V1 Rat from 1979. The first run had the big box and a Tone knob instead of a Filter knob. When Monte Vista in Tacoma shutdown they had a liquidation sale & that’s the only way I could ever afford this.

Posted on X but I’ll put it here. I’ve been collecting gear for over 30yrs. I love the history of it. Systech was in Kalamazoo & related to ProCo. Greg Lake needed a boost & that led to this which also includes filtering. Zappa fav. but Joe Gore & Les Claypool also use it. Stupidly rare.
