My mum has been making needle felted mice for a few years and enjoys challenging herself with new themes and ideas. She's just set up her first exhibition at the stately home she volunteers at, with a family of period mice. Incredible.

Batman Forever (ARC) The worst brawler I have ever played. Your attacks wiff when standing in front of the enemy, there's no hit stun or i-frames, enemies can break your combo, the game runs out of ideas 5 minutes in and goes on for 45. I hoped for loud stupid sugary trash, it was only one of those.

Castlevania Nocture (S2) This series remains my absolute "time to watch my stories" guilty pleasure. It mixes soapy palace intrigue, blood splatters, and erotic tension into pure Pulp, then balances it with watching the crew get together so they can kick ass action. I will never tire of this formula

Was it worth it to buy the Kiki's Delivery Service Bluray after my e-wasted copy of the original was unreadable (your DVDs are dying folks) so that I could rip the tossed in DVD then sync up the slightly different 1998 VHS dub and AND the "I didn't know existed" Streamline dub? Why yes. Yes it was.

Sin and Punishment (N64) Once I learned how it demands you play, this was a buck wild roller coaster start to finish. Every encounter a puzzle of shooting and moving that seems insurmountable until you suddenly master it despite the touch of jank. New to me but now a top 5 N64 game. A minor miracle.

Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle (STM) Multiplayer Pac-man can be amazing, but this ain't it. It never felt like you could do much to influence the other players. Pac-man on multiple boards could be something but this does little with the idea. I handily won several rounds with basic strategies. Bummer.

I enjoyed that Shaun’s writing got me to seriously remember the experience of eating a fast food burger for the first time in like 25 years. It exist mostly as soda for me now, but gimmick food fires more in my brain than on my tongue. The thought of an unknown flavor.

Atomic Runner Chelnov (ARC) From 1988, could be made tomorrow. Even with save states the game demands you slot into the very specific groove of restricted moving and shooting. At times you feel like you couldn't ever catch the wave, but in the moments where you are on the top of it, pure magic.

Sengoku (NEO) Pretty rotten collision detection on attacks for you and your assists. Enemies who can block and dodge when you cannot. A super slow charge up attack. BUT every 20 seconds you are in a wildly new mix up in a completely new area. You can SEE the vision, but mostly a quarter feeder.

Josie and the Pussycats (2001) Good fun. Mostly because it has some snotty and obnoxious character work from Alan Cumming, Parker Posey, and Missi Pyle. More than anything, I would have stolen ideas from this had I seen it earlier. Three gals in a band... hmm, really kind of shocked that I hadn't.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Beautifully animated, deeply sad. Above all it captures how much in means during your youth to form close friendships and romances as part of a fucked up crew. And how one way or another that is all going to fall apart and hurt a whole mess of people. It always will.
