This was a great read. I've subscribed to @samfr.bsky.social's substack from early on and it's great for anyone interested in policy, and current affairs more generally. It's in-depth but also very accessible. Never a lecture and honest where analysis hasn't been quite right. I highly recommend it.

One of the things Starmer's defenders on here get so wrong is to insist it's all about media froth. In fact, as that Jess Philips letter demonstrates, the most damning criticism of Starmer comes from those concerned about the policy and delivery process.

There's just got to be a better way to do this.
