I thought I’d share how I’m using the new Low to Low baking mode and bevel shader in @marmoset3d.bsky.social Toolbag 5. The bevel shader does more than just smooth out edges, it also blends surfaces between objects, so you can create complex forms by using simple shapes and primitives. 1/7

My first teapots I have ever made in pottery! 2 different styles of making, one thrown as a single pot then the lid carved out during trimming, the other with the lid thrown off the hump. Both spots were thrown off the hump. That was super difficult! They'll slowly dry for the next couple of weeks

My hands are frozen. Classic aussie homes just being so damm cold in winter.

For me, Houdini has replaced Maya for modelling simple props and stuff. The fact I can mock up and then make something and adjust it on the fly as I need it, feels so good once I got the hang of basic parametric modelling. I guess this is like how Geo nodes work in blender too.

Having fun in toolbag 5 with a simple bonsai plant and planter I made in #houdini. Textured in #toolbag5 using height fun times for the rocks.

There's a beta going on for Toolbag 5 users which has some cool stuff in it, like the ability to draw on wrapped straps easily. This axe I made is only a low poly. so I used vector tile strips for the twisted leather straps and dragon details. Super fun stuff. #gameart marmoset.co/toolbag/beta/
