Can't cold turkey it because that would be incredibly bad for me (and id probably kms) and have just discovered that the NHS only "taper" in 75mg increments so i cant come off it. I am feeling stuck and overwhelmed in many ways and for many reasons right now but the medicine makes everything worse.

Missing a single dose of venlafaxine sends me into a worse mental state than not being on it at all would. I wish i could come off it. I did it once before i got cancer but then they made me take tamoxifen for 5 years (known to cause depression) and my then relationship ended so was suicidal.

Stay away from Effexor/Venlafaxine if you can. You will feel agony and misery when you try to taper off of it. Lowered my dose again and I feel incredibly miserable. Joint pain, more overly sensitive/emotional, nausea, dizziness, and my false awakening dreams are getting more traumatic. Im so tired.

SSRI withdrawal is something else. My brain feels like it's chemically dependent on them at this point. Who would have guessed that medicine that gives your brain serotonin that it can't create itself develops a dependency? And they don't even warn you about it before giving it to you.
