It's official: A new interstellar object is currently flying through our solar system at 61 km/sec. Comet 3I/ATLAS, as it's now known, is only the 3rd known interstellar visitor, but the new Rubin Observatory is likely to find dozens more in the coming years. 🔭🧪

While STROBE-X didn't get selected for NASA Probe-class we did get Category I rating from NASA (for an excellent overall proposal) and a low risk rating. Clearly, this could have been selected, and we made the case that a big X-ray timing mission is timely and practical. Proud of our team. 🔭
