Watched Weapons yesterday. The way the story played out was a satisfying scratch to the brain. Also enjoyed the way the soundtrack was used. James. My biggest gripe was I noticed every single shot and I'm not sure if that's a me problem or intentional. Overall 6.7/10

Watched Mickey 17 finally. Is it weird to say it was cute? Story was well paced so it didn't feel like 2 hours. Robert Pattinson shines when he gets to be a little weirdo. Nasha and Mickey 18 my beloveds. Guess I should watch Parasite too (don't come for me). Overall 7.5/10

Saw 28 Years Later. Beautiful cinematography and set design. It starts very heavy handed but sticks the landing well. A good zombie movie is never about the zombies and this one gets there. Biggest jumpscare was Samson but not for the reasons you think. For me a 6.5/10, will be watching the sequel.

A week has passed so it's time for #RPBri ! Unfortunately, I have once again come to the realization that I'm making 4 interactive fics and I gave myself a deadline. So my current method is to start from a place of comfort and then ramp up the difficulty.

Timely reminder that the treatment for chemical weapons like tear gas and pepper spray is: 1) remove from active contamination (get them out of the cloud of teargas, remove outer layers of clothing if possible) 2) flush eyes with ONLY clean water. Wash skin and hair with water and soap.

More developers need to do this and push the announcement of games back until they're ready. They used that extra 20 minutes very well and the game looks great.

So I think my #RPBri updates will become weekly because 1) for now a lot of updates will be "I wrote today/I learned more about the engine." and 2) I feel so fucking annoying 😅 But with going weekly I'd like to provide vague screenshots so I keep myself accountable.

#RPBri day 4/5: Yesterday was for the homies and today was for paper prototyping! I'm trying to practice what I preach about scope creep and trying to make realistic goals for the two months I have. I am still technically making 6 micro games but at least I'm not doing randomization now 🤪

#RPBri Day 3: No work is getting done today. I've been watching Nightreign streams for the past 24 hours and I will probably be watching for 24 more. But maybe this too is game design 🙂‍↕️

#RPBri Day 2: Today I did a little bit of writing and have a plan of attack for the next few days. I'd like to get a vertical slice done for the Indika mechanic to see if I can get it done in Ren'py.

#RPBri Day 1: Did some toe-dipping into Ren'Py, but mostly hammered out details of structure and a rough idea of mechanics. The plan right now is a prologue with 3 vignettes, which sounds simple enough but I hate myself so of course I'm making it difficult.

(Finally!!!!) saw Sinners. Amazing music and acting. Dialog definitely on point and poignant. There were some moments I had a hard time following the action but the blood made up for it. Unfortunately, Remmick is a psycho and a musician so I would have let the side down. Overall an 8.7/10
