Tonight's Japanuary film: School in the Crosshairs A Teenage girl discovers she's got psychic powers and eventually has to battle another girl who has them, BUT EVIL and is using them to turn the high school into a fascist regime! Very fun, very weird. Very live action anime in style.

Ran my first game of Mythic Bastionland on Friday. Set up the Realm with player input, then absolutely zero planning after that, just rolling on the tables and letting random chance take the wheel. Amazing, the TTRPG equivalent of when the scissors glide through wrapping paper whilst you cut it.

Using the advice that @drgonzo123.bsky.social has for surreal horror has made this Impossible Landscapes run through much better. Making sure the players have enough 'normal' so the surreal hits harder. However this has led to them having an emotional support Dunkin' Donuts they kept meeting in.

A "complete" ttrpg is one you can buy for your 9 year old nephew, who will struggle through that single book and eventually absorb it like an old tree does with a metal fence. And thats all they need.
