During one of his two failed attempts to become Labour leader, Andy Burnham was asked whether he’d put party or country first. He answered: “party”. If you asked him today whether he’d put Burnham or party first, I suspect the answer would be “Burnham”.

In a wonderfully laid back attitude to local democracy, my son-in-law, who is standing as a Green Party candidate, has opted to go away for a few days. So he won't be voting, helping to GTVO or attending the count.
