My first International Women’s Day as a mum and the first time I can start to answer whether women can have it all. The basic answer: no. I’ve had to return to some form of work earlier than I wanted to because there is very limited support for self-employed mums.

Allowing British bases to be used in an illegal war of aggression is a catastrophic and historic mistake. Britain has been dragged into another war because our Prime Minister would rather appease Donald Trump than stand up for international law.

My first time speaking with residents as a mum yesterday (with little one on board)! Had some really interesting conversations on the doorstep and enjoyed meeting Cllrs James, Martin and Liam from @southwarkgp.bsky.social, @lambethgreenparty.bsky.social and @lewishamgreenparty.bsky.social.

So in the week that they lost a safe seat to @greenparty.org.uk the brains trust @labouruk.bsky.social decide to reintroduce hostile environments for asylum seekers. Not to mention backing a war which may create a need to offer refuge to those caught up in it. 😳 www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

So just as a final word on this by election before polls close: No matter what the result, Gorton and Denton is supposed to be in a category of safe seat that should essentially render it uncompetitive. The fact that it isn't is a damning indictment of Labour's time in office.

Labour think by being "tough", they will win over Reform voters. They seem blind to the fact they come across as pathetic bullies, and drive away millions of decent, fair minded voters. The lack of morality from Labour is genuinely upsetting, and one of the reasons why I joined the Greens.
