All quiet on the Western Front. Visited the Portland 'war zone' this morning. A (mostly gray-haired) crowd had gathered for a "pajamas and pastries" protest.

If you’re ok with vouchers being used for ski trips or piano lessons but not ok with SNAP benefits being used for pizza or cupcakes, it’s not the use of public money you have a problem with. It’s that you think wealthy people deserve perks and poor people deserve to be poor.

Kristi Noem is flat-out lying when she claims no U.S. citizen has been arrested in her violent crackdown. Do a web search on “immigration citizen arrested” and you’ll see. Here’s one of the many documented reports we found.

Standalone funding for SNAP and WIC meant they could still argue (and lie) about whether emergency Medicaid funds should be used to save people’s lives. Republicans specifically do not want SNAP and WIC to be funded. The message couldn’t be clearer.

BREAKING: Democrats just tried to pass a standalone bill to fund WIC & SNAP to make sure families don't go hungry during the Republican shutdown. Republicans BLOCKED it. So Trump won't use emergency funds to keep SNAP running, and Republicans won't let any bills pass. Shameful.

A border patrol agent, though, told the journalists: “What did everyone think mass deportations meant? Only the worst? Tom Homan has said it himself—anyone in the U.S. illegally is on the table.”

This pretty much sums up every Trump voter I know.
