I have been insanely busy lately and have pretty much forgotten to post on Blue Sky. I did a Zine fair 2 weeks ago, had my birthday the week before that, performed at a poetry night as the feature poet... All while trying to get ready for PAXAus and SXSW Sydney. And this weekend I'm doing this:

I spent most of my birthday doing prep work for a counter-protest, But then this evening I got to travel down to Wyong and be the feature poet at their poetry slam. It is really nice to perform and help inspire people towards activism.

Just for perspective, a few weeks ago roughly 100,000 turned up for the London Trans+ Pride march. By contrast fewer than 3,000 ACROSS THE WHOLE COUNTRY, have turned up to anti-asylum "protests". Yet we are meant to take the latter as "the voice of the people" and the former as "the minority".

Have you taken a look at Assault Fleet Centauri yet? It combines modern tactical rpg mechanics with the narrativist school of rpg design to make some I think is pretty unique! It's also a bit of a love letter BSG, The Expanse, and Star Trek. If you're looking for a new hard sci fi rpg, this be it!

In a game about captaining space. Warships with antimatter engines that can instantly teleport across the solar system. I think the most fantastical element of AFC is that the hero faction is made up almost entirely of people with earnest beliefs.
