Starmer keeps using this line, & it's bonkers. Most importantly, it's untrue: the party that ended Free Movement, ran the "hostile environment" & made Suella Braverman Home Sec did not run "an experiment in open borders". It's also politically mad. Voters who believe this will not vote for Starmer

Sums up how rubbish Badenoch is that she has been forced into a āYouāre dumping me? Iām dumping you!ā rather than just sacking and disbarring Jenrick over the many, many things that would have kept him out of any Tory Cabinet since 1968.

An absolutely key first principle when using AI is that you, the human, are responsible for its outputs, and that you must *check* everything it churns out. Blaming Copilot doesn't wash.

TIL that one of the words for "orange" in German is "die Apfelsine", or "Chinese apple." So, that's at least one country that compared apples to oranges.

That's not to say LLMs are useless for legal research. You've just got to treat them like a brilliant and extremely fast trainee who is also a psychopath and pathological liar.

If you can substitute "hungry ghost trapped in a jar" for "AI" in a sentence it's probably a valid use case for LLMs. Take "I have a bunch of hungry ghosts in jars, they mainly write SQL queries for me". Sure. Reasonable use case. "My girlfriend is a hungry ghost I trapped in a jar"? No. Deranged.

Sadiq Khan says āpublic healthā approach has made the capital one of the safest cities in the western world Londonās murder rate has dropped to its lowest in more than a decade with police in the capital and the mayor saying it is now one of the safest cities in the western world.
