Is it strategic or Trump does not understand what he is doing? With all his isolationism, the foreign policy picks are serious or even hawkish. They differ from the appeasers and clowns who featured in his campaign. Is this unpredictability instrumental or random? It cannot be both.

We report: the shape comes into view slowly, a mirage over the trees. From a distance, it is difficult to remember that each dot represents a single bird. Barely a wing out of formation, the single movement of a wave coming in and going out on the fields. It makes sense, somehow.

Remember the eclipse back in April? Since eclipses are rare I practiced camera settings and timing... then changed travel plans, watched the weather like a hawk, and ended up driving quite a bit. It all worked out. I'm proudest of this image and would love to do projects like this more often.

One more thought on "bad" art, at the risk of sounding pretentious: The point of art is to create and express something. Technical skills (anatomy, perspective, etc) are good, but only insofar as they serve that goal. What gives art its value is the impression it makes, not the artist's skill.
