Saturday. I finally have some semblance of control over my to do list, so in theory I could spend the rest of the day reading and writing, or maybe go outside for a while. In reality all I want to do is lie on my sofa, watch a movie, and not move until Monday.

Possibly a hot take, but there should be extra driver's test for people who want to buy an SUV. If you can't drive an SUV without being a danger to pedestrians or other drivers, you shouldn't be able to buy one.

One of the things I find really fascinating about the first season of True Detective is that the story you're seeing and the story you're being told are completely different.

Yeah, I might just NOT rewatch The Newsroom. I remember enjoying it when it first aired, but there's just too many instances of the same two intelligent women suddenly turning into idiots again and again.

The shift in tone between the first season of The West Wing and the first season of The Newsroom is A LOT. And I still like this speech a lot, although it would probably sound a lot harsher these days.

I'm getting close to the end of my West Wing rewatch, and I'm enjoying S6 and S7 a lot more than I did 20 years ago. I think one part of the problem back then was the heavy focus on all the new characters, but all of them are actually really interesting. Another issue was that I watched this through

It doesn't matter in which TV show or movie I encounter Matthew Del Negro, I can never remember his name. He's simply Scott McCall's dad to my Swiss cheese brain.

One of the MANY smart things about The West Wing is that we only hear bits and pieces of speeches as the communications department works on them, but we rarely hear Bartlet give the complete speech once it's done. It keeps up the illusion that all the speeches turn out amazing.

I have very mixed feelings about Good Omens? It suffered from being compressed down to 97 minutes, but it also did a lot in that time. I actually enjoyed the ending, but I can also see why some people are mad about it. I need to think about it some more. 🤔

The most unrealistic thing about The West Wing is that they had an election and knew the results the same night. 😂
