Hampshire, my alma mater, announced that it is closing. It is hard to overstate how much my time at Hampshire has shaped my life and who I am. My career, my partner, my passions. In May it will be the 20th anniversary of my graduation, the proudest day of my life.

Whenever I need to format a text for printing I remember why I don’t normally format texts for printing.

Reminder for artists: don't get blinded by the "big number" for an art project. Remember to do the math. $3,000 for a tarot card desk *sounds* great. But in reality you're only being paid $38.46 per artwork. And if each artwork takes 20 hours to make, you're getting paid $1.92/hr
