What is a ‘safe dose’ of LA? I read an article when training on how we should avoid using traditional ‘safe mg/kg doses’ and think more about the site, the patient, co-morbidities etc. I can’t remember where I read this but it’s something that’s stayed with me. Even so, this case is a rare event!

With recent cases like this the issue of LA and people being unaware of how much is being injected really concerns me. (The case report above however, was 5ml of lignocaine so incredibly rare and unlucky) www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...
