During my department’s final meeting of the semester the department head encouraged us to “stay the course,” and then as we spoke after the meeting the department head asked me “still wearing that mask everyday?” and before I could stop myself I replied: “I’m staying the course.”

When they reminisce about the old days I keep hearing people say that things they once loved candy and cereal and snacks don’t taste as good as they did back then, and it could be that those things have changed, but I fear it is that catching Covid repeatedly has changed them.
