I was only 10 when the New Universe came out but man, I loved Spitfire & the Troubleshooters. Anyway, at 13, I was in a lull in comic buying until Knightfall/Death of Superman reignited me, but my parents still paid for a subscription to this guy.

Saw a post rebutting "Star Trek is for children" and I can't tell if it's legit or a shitpost that is deliberately replacing "Wars" with "Trek". I have never heard anyone argue that Trek is for children.

And there was, I feel, at least in general, less dialogue. Nobody shuts up anymore. It's like screenwriters are taking all the wrong lessons from anime. Grogu's extended Nal Hutta scene was the longest stretch of movie without talking in I can't remember.

Saw my first “How does #TheMandalorianandGrogu set up the future of #StarWars” headline and the most beautiful thing about it is that it doesn’t. It doesn’t strike out a bold new direction for the franchise. It doesn’t even set us up for more Mando and Grogu! It’s just a movie, take it or leave it!

Amazing. Now I’m even more annoyed that I missed the opening of the new Rockin Rollercoaster by a week.

#TheMandalorianandGrogu was hella fun. The best way I can think to describe it: it’s like a James Bond movie. Structurally and in terms of depth of characterization. Make of that what you will. I loved how some of the monsters and droids were given a very stilted, stop motion kind of movement.
