mark carney taking the time to shit on canada post during his big pre-budget speech was disgusting. he acts like itâs the responsible choice to gut an essential institution at the very moment he canât stop talking about nation-building projects. thatâs what canada post is and could continue to be!

It's probably a bad political move to use AI to make ads that actors and crew would refuse to participate in.

It will be fine for urban customers because surely private couriers will maintain quality and costs will be reduced with all the new customers. They really mean what they say in their marketing. Surely the loss of the standard bearer for the service won't tempt them to increase their margins.

Ok fine, but what makes you think conservatives see any downside to defying judges after the past 10 months? Liberals won't tighten checks and balances if it might hinder them and it always bites them in the ass. See: voting reform.

If property owners are mad about this maybe it's not really worth paying that much attention when people complain about the idea of housing people in need in their neighborhoods. You live in a city with people. Move to the country if you don't want to be a part of that.

Has the use of AI as part of daily life popped up in mainstream tv shows or movies? I've only seen it get clowned on and widely embraced trends and tech usually pops up pretty quick by writers desperate for material.

Just absolutely embarrassing that this made it to market. So many people need to approve an ad before it gets national airtime. Just wild that they could screw up a detail like this and have nobody either know or care.

It's buried in the stories but I think Carney bringing in an AI investor to speak is worse than the MAGA mastermind. He believes in climate change, but he thinks capitalists are going to solve it when the market responds to it (which will happen right when it needs to!).

It's infuriating that entities like the EU or Canada, Mexico etc can't even dream of just creating a website that functions like Facebook did 15 years ago (low bar). I'm sure WeChat has privacy issues but at least people in China actually seem to like it.

Love that the world holds these two simultaneous beliefs with seemingly no dissonance: 1) that every trans person is a pervert and must be treated like a sex offender, and 2) that perverts will pretend to be trans to make it easier to commit sex crimes.

The constant deluge of life destroying Trump policies makes me think a lot of what "woke culture" came down to was boredom and wanting something to talk about online. I don't think anyone actually cared that much about whether Macklemore's "Thrift Shop" celebrated white privilege.

When you boil this down he's just saying he's not smart and educated enough to give an opinion on a primary issue the base he wants to court has overwhelmingly settled on. Cool, you're not a filthy pig like Trump but nobody thinks spineless is the answer.

Always depressing how many people in Winnipeg follow this account run by racist bootlickers. That amount of data for departments that employ tens of thousands of people is astonishingly low. And they're entitled to breaks like everyone else.
