We are studying today's judgement by the UK Supreme Court. Nothing they rule will change our solidarity with the trans+ community and with everyone who seeks to live their lives under control of their own bodies, and free from poverty, ignorance or conformity.

Trans women are women, trans men are men, and non-binary and intersex folks are valid just as they are. It's time this was reflected in the law of the land, and LGBT+ Lib Dems will be at the forefront of pushing for that change. If the government thinks it will get growth back in the economy by borrowing Boris Johnson’s playbook on European negotiations it is going to end up being sorely disappointed. It is time for a UK-EU customs arrangement so we can strengthen our negotiations with Donald Trump and grow the economy.

Thames Water is HQ'd in Reading, and many people in our Borough work in the water industry. To those workers carrying on without manager approval to keep our water clean: thank you - we will protect you. To those industry leaders who would not approve, and caused this: we will hold you to account.

British farmers are already battling with sky-high energy bills and botched overseas trade deals; this hike will only make things much worse. The Chancellor must urgently meet with the farming community and NFU to better understand their heartfelt concerns and reverse the tax hike.
