One final clip: a very early in his career Steve Blum playing Jabby (C.V. Banjo Ginga), a bizarre creature who sort of inexplicably reminds me of Riki from Xenoblade Chronicles. You don't often get Blum going for a Voice outside of like, Guilmon in Digimon Tamers, so it's fun to hear him swing.

Really great back to back moments from the sadly unfinished Super Dimension Century Orguss dub. Tom Fahn (Mister Agumon himself) just absolutely going for it.

So! I've been working on an original comic project, and it occurred to me that I can repurpose the character and mecha poses from the page layouts to make some model sheets. Since these roughs are based on comic panels, they're pretty perspective-y. Now to refine!

Kyoko's final serve in her match against Hiromi from episode 4 of Aim for the Ace (1973) is one of my very favorite sequences in all anime. The rapid cuts, the remarkable use of hatching this early in the show, and that absolutely incredible cut of Kyoko chasing the ball before it hits the court.

Aim for the Ace! is one of the prettiest cartoons ever made. That old Dezaki magic.
