Fun fact: Quite a few GAINAX vets worked on Macross Plus (1994-95). In the early ‘90s the venerable studio was struggling—a bunch of projects died on the vine due to mismanagement. As a result, some of their most talented animators and artists sought work elsewhere.

I've always thought Loran's voice was fitting, if a juuuust a bit high. Gym though...I can see the vision with casting McNeil, but much like his Harlock, it does not work for me. Sochie also gets an English voice in DWG3 which I recall being pretty good.
