All true. But while it’s accurate to lay some responsibility at Garland’s feet, Trump’s corruption was plain to see for all those looking beyond Fox News. An uneducated electorate, or willfully blind electorate, is far more complicit in this disaster.

I don’t think a more complicated information exchange will slow the progress of scientific discovery. Frankly, given this fascist administrations attack on science and knowledge, we won’t have much to offer the international community. Scientific discovery will move to more advanced countries.

We’ve had some successes: Musk/Tesla, Target, Kimmel, and most special elections and, oh yeah, court cases decided against Trump ( at least until the sycophantic Supreme Court puts its 6 thumbs on the scale). We need to continue to apply all the pressure we can to protect our rights and democracy.
