there was already an inherent disrespect for the arts so of course it makes sense the average person jumped to generated images/etc with excitement, while not understanding the impacts. 'how did we get here?' asks the person who thinks a custom piece should cost no more than 15 dollars.

Reactions like this to brians story show why it's valuable to keep talking about. As artists we are living the situation and assume others are aware, but the truth is most people do not know
