I think this is at the heart of why AI is useful to fascists. They seek to throttle the imagination, so people won't be able to think of ways to stop them. People won't be able to hope for anything better.

It's all "AI is the future" and "you can't get the genie back in the bottle" until the public don't like it and then it's "nooo this was handmade by real humans, it has a heart" and you try to fabricate a process that was never there. My dudes, if AI was so great you wouldn't need to lie about it.

When ever a tending scam is shared that leads to hacked accounts it makes me aware that work security training had a real effect, I never click on links and will manually search things like portfolios and websites. Take the time go slower and you will be safer.
