I enjoy money and health insurance too much to ever go back to this, but WOW I wrote a lot in 2020. Kinda miss waking up every day and just *writing*. Nothing else. That was just my whole life and job.

Took the week off for American Thanksgiving and so far I've managed another 1,500 more words on Roses Under Glass Chapter 2. Think I'm starting to reach a critical mass of "manic writing energy" again.

Finally got around to this and devoured it, potentially the hottest just completely unabashed porn I've read ♡♡♡♡♡ it has everything and doesn't let up until the last word.

Went for a nice little walk in the cold today and was struck with a lightning bolt of energy to get back on Roses Under Glass Chapter 2. I just suddenly remembered that being completely insane is what made me so energized to write the first part, so I should just do that again this time.

Finished up Eirksholm: The Stolen Dream over the weekend! Definitely the first "Mimimi-style" stealth game that's clicked for me, probably because it REALLY eases you into that whole genre. Tight little story with great production values, too. Makes me want to go back to Shadow Gambit and such.

Work hit me with another (admittedly small) narrative project right as I thought I was done for the year. While it's VERY cool, I also think the whiplash gave me and an anxiety attack that I channeled into writing 1,000+ words of shock collar girl training in 20 minutes.

Always be wary of a smooth talking businessperson with an answer to all of your problems~ Especially if they have a dataspike that can rewrite your mind to their whims!

Rolled credits on Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Like 80 hours of some of the best-presented gruel you've ever "tasted." Totally solid in its MANY gameplay features, sans the combat which is "interesting" but very fussy. I can see why people call it basically a blueprint for the better, gayer sequel.

Adalgisa uses a nerve-bypass port which allows her to maximize her reaction time on the cheap. Of course, she needs a connector when she's not in her mech, and her reckless use burns it out regularly, requiring a full removal and replacement of the port itself.

Just rolled credits. Remained pretty excellent all the way through. Some minor quibbles about the specifics of the story by the end, as it neatly tries to wrap all of its sci-fi concepts and "Australian grindhouse" drama, but damn if it wasn't just good fun.

It's such a huge loss for Stepfordization that I'm a hard domme... I'm overworked at a stressful, lucrative corporate job that doesn't appreciate my talents. It's a layup! Yet switching hits me like water off a duck's back. 😩 At least I can relieve my stress by breaking and torturing OTHER dommes*.

Helped direct ~5 hours of dialogue at work today. One of my coworkers actually started choking up when they heard the actress deliver the last lines I wrote... Every time I believe my ego can't possibly get any worse, it somehow finds a way, lmaooo

Forgot to share my thoughts on this before, but it really is incredible that it's only 3000 words. Just a very sharp, potent slice of an entire life / unmaking that feels consistent and satisfying to peer into right to the end. Appropriate given the context, but it feels like sanctioned voyeurism.

Working slowly through The Drifter, which has to be the most delightfully paced and presented point-and-click I've played in... ever? Just feels like there's zero wasted time on any puzzle or scene. Mostly thanks to the core time loop(?) mechanic that lets you try lots of things really quickly.

It's been so heartening to see people finish the first part of Roses Under Glass (I know it's monstrously long for a single chapter). LOTS of folks have actually commented on several of the subtler details and themes and nothing makes me happier than people just ENGAGING with my writing like that~

Holy shit, this is amazingly good. Evocative prose and well-realized mech combat. Terrifying organic ferrofluid mech, with a pilot just as horrifying as the monster she pilots. Deliciously painful betrayal. Maximal Value is a wonderfully slick and sleazy villain. Give this one a read!

Something I learned with this story: I REALLY enjoy writing fight scenes. They're such a good shortcut for character development. I think I'm quite bad at making scenes feel "lived in," so having an obvious excuse for characters to do something while they emote and speak dialogue is so, SO helpful.

Finally just watched Cuckoo with the girls. NOT the kind of horror movie I expected. Like, at all. Still had a good time with it, though! Conceptually insanely horny with some really good imagery/ideas for hypnosis...
