About a year ago, I had a panic attack during my first acupuncture appointment due to my needle phobia. Today, I self administered a shot for the clinical trial I’m in for Long Covid vaccine. This is something I could never have done a year ago, I’m so thankful to acupuncture for this.

Well, I am now officially 38 by all calendars. (Unless you take leap days in the Hebrew calendar into account, making me ~28/29) Some reflection: I’m now living in the area I expect to stay forever, and reconnecting with many friends-including one who runs the local Covid conscious community.

Well, by the Hebrew calendar I am now officially 38. By the English calendar, I turn 38 on Sunday. Having a lot of mixed feelings, and I think it’s the first year since I started streaming that I’m not doing a bday anything (still on fatigue hiatus). I will probably share some musings later …

Fellow Jews, quick question I’m curious about: How do you feel when an organization or company or such posts a “Happy Hanukkah” post on day one (or one of the first few days) that has a hannukiah with all 8 candles lit? (Trying to figure out what the mixed emotions I’m feeling actually are)

My mom works hard to get gender stuff right for me, but hasn’t yet managed to break her habit of calling me “darling daughter”… which means she’ll now immediately make a frustrated noise at herself and go “cherished child! Precious progeny.” It’s honestly really charming and makes me smile so much.

Eclipse, who turned 14 last month, is finally back to the weight she was pre Lymphoma, and she’s doing SO well on her meds.

Sitting here after finally being able to sit and calm down after a terrible day, wondering how much I’m going to pay for being forced to push my body and energy way past my limits. (A broken water boiler heating an upstairs apartment broke and flooded part of my apartment. Had to move everything)

Having a panic attack while dealing with a mess that if you don’t do *now* is going to cause a lot more trouble and you’re over heating is NOT fun. Definitely had to overpush my body, and I’m so overwhelmed even thinking of trying to deal with putting things back later…

If you don't care about disabled and chronically ill people, you're an asshole. And furthermore, no one is immune from becoming disabled or chronically ill, especially if they catch COVID. That includes you. WEAR A MASK & GET YOUR VAX.

Masking in public, especially when you're indoors or around a lot of people outdoors (such as at a concert/protest or other crowded event), is a really easy way to 1) show solidarity with disabled and chronically ill people and 2) not get anyone sick. COVID is still here and still dangerous.
