My partner and I drove to a state 12 hours away this weekend. We spent the weekend together, stayed in the hotel together, were in the car together. I masked inside for all the events we did. My partner didn’t. I dropped them off Monday night. Now my partner has Covid. I don’t. Masking works.

Back in August, I made an appointment with a dermatologist. They couldn’t see me til May. Then the provider they assigned me to couldn’t do it, but the replacement had same day, just a different time… Well, now she’s away that week. And my appointment? July 1st.

Oof, having the psychiatric doctor ask me if I struggle with math really hurts. I have a math minor and was a math tutor for years. But I made a mistake when counting backwards from 100 by seven. Which frankly says a lot about my current lack of focus…

#SSDI doctor appointments started with half an hour worth of paperwork, and now actually sitting on the floor while waiting to be called back because it’s somehow more comfortable to me than the chairs. Really wishing I had remembered my wrist braces and ankle brace x.x

My #SSDI appointments are tomorrow. I guess in some ways it’s good my health has been in a dip lately, as that means they’ll be seeing and evaluating me on a bad day? I’m so ready to be done with all of this, it’s an exhausting process.

Just got pulled out of my finally nearly being asleep by a phone call…which was an automated reminder about my #SSDI doctor appointments in a week and a half. Insomnia does not work well with the schedule everyone expects you to have. Add in chronic illness, and it can mess you up SO much.

I don't think people fully appreciate how apocalyptic things are for US science. I haven't had any new funding since 2024, but I'm still ok since typical grants are for three years. This means next year I will be completely out of funding and will have to fire everyone in the lab. It's not great.

#SSDI Well, I guess things are moving forward as I now have appointments to see their own doctors mid April. It should be interesting to see what happens during those appointments, I really don’t know what to expect.

I have at times had 4+ appointments a week, especially when doing PT on top of everything else. Chronic illness management can basically be a full time job in and of itself, and there’s only so much control you can have over appointment dates, times, and frequency. #NEISVoid

This is definitely contributing in some part to the growing antisemitism on the left. Folks are blindly following deeply antisemitic accounts because of one single talking point and then being brainwashed by violent anti-Jewish rhetoric. All while denying antisemitism on the left doesn’t exist.

Getting anything respiratory is absolutely dangerous for me. But also, wearing a mask protects others should I get sick and not realize it. I don’t want to get others sick either! It’s such a simple act that protects both yourself and so many others, it still baffles me that so few people do it.
