I’m not the kind of person who can do assignments or tasks in smaller chunks. I am either hyper focused & get it all done at once or I get nothing done at all. There’s no in between. I just spent 2.5 hrs writing a 2500 word paper for a class I’m taking. It’s how I’ve always been & I don’t know why

This run was difficult but felt harder than it should have been. I’ve been feeling out of shape & struggling with my body confidence lately despite running consistently Which is why there hasn’t been any bedtime posts recently. I even didn’t feel comfortable running shirtless yesterday so I didn’t.

Didn’t get a chance to get outside until later in the day because I was coaching a track meet from 8am-5pm. Would have been a beautiful day for a long run but my legs weren’t feeling up for it, but I still got to get out and enjoy the weather for a little bit. Summer is around the corner! 😀

It’s official! Our entire slate took every seat on the council besides 1. I’m the only current member (out of 11) who retained a seat on the council. All other members were voted out so our slate could take those spots. So grateful for all the community/parents who organized. Historic voter turnout!

I officially won my re-election campaign for my seat on our school’s LSC (school board). Admin tried to run another teacher against me, but I won with the majority of the votes & I had more votes this time than the first election. It shows that our teachers are organized & ready to create change! 🥳

Didn’t feel great since I’m still very sick, and the wind was brutal, but nonetheless I’m glad that I still got out there & ran. Some mileage is better than no mileage. Summer will be here soon enough.

Ran a progression run with one of my athletes this morning. Our original goal was to cut down from 7:20 to 5:50 over 8 miles, but we made to 5.5 miles and cut down to 6:10 & then just finished the last 2.5 at tempo. He was disappointed but I reminded him that it was still a productive speed workout.

Well you can’t say that I’m not committed 👍
