Now that I've read over the "autopsy", I find that I disagree with much of the discussion about it. It's not about the contentions in it ... The prominent media angle on this seems to be that it's incompetent, and folks are jumping on that .. But to me it's clear it's **unfinished**. By half!

I've had my disagreements with Massie over the years, but to his credit it was clear that he was not willing to be anyone's dog, which means he can't be a Republican congressman in 2026.

Some aren't willing to accept the blow to their ambitions and self-image this implies, so they stick around and try to make it work. But eventually, if they have a shred of dignity, they end up burned and regretting it. Or they go down a path where they can't even recognize themselves at the end.

Look, at the end of the day, Graham is right: This is Trump's GOP, and if you're not willing to do Trump's bidding, 24/7/365, no questions asked, there's no place for you in it. I'm a former Republican and I realized this many years ago, which is why I left and saved myself boundless humiliation.

Russia started the war, continues the war, and can stop at any time. As soon as Russia accepts Ukraine’s independence, stops bombing, and pulls Russian military forces back into Russia, the war ends. If they don’t like the Moscow area being bombed, they could always, you know, stop their aggression.

Of course Ukraine’s strikes on Russian energy infrastructure in the Moscow region are entirely justified. Russia has aggressively bombed Ukraine for years, including many purely civilian targets. Ukraine hitting an oil refinery, which fuels Russia’s war machine, is justified self-defense. Easily.
