#Montreal was rated #1 bicycle city in North America this year. But the party that won the municipal election campaigned on auditing and removing bike lanes. They’ve already started in my borough, #Outremont. So we made our own bike lane this morning. We need to keep our kids active—and safe.

Even in the bike utopias driving is still a perfectly acceptable social norm. 60% of households and over 80% of families with kids in Denmark have a car. The Netherlands has 513 cars per thousand people; Canada has 677. The threat to drivers, such as it is, is mostly imagined.

Tech did not peak in the 90s. Tech has not peaked yet. We still haven't even figured out how to not destroy the environment, or fund Black women. Anecdotally what I'm seeing a lot is patients either avoiding the emerg completely or leaving after several hrs of waiting. Then they wait days or weeks to see me in the office, which is often not appropriate or safe. Sometimes, I have to send them straight back to the emerg. This is really bad.
