Just released a new version of go-dasl that follows the DASL CID spec update, fixing hash length at 32 bytes. Encoding CIDs is much faster and go-dasl has one fewer dependency!

I've noticed something similar where ATproto monetization seems quite difficult, as you can't do the usual things of gatekeeping user accounts or data. Charging for an app view is hard if anyone can come along and undercut you with no switching cost.

Using blockchain as a distribution mechanism (as Lutnick says) would be stupid, but it appears what's actually happening is they are putting PDF hashes on chain. This is not a bad idea, as it immutably timestamps their documents. Of course this is still a stunt, though.
