When clinics started putting out research that 97.5% of trans youth who socially transitioned maintained a stable gender identity for 5 years,the reaction was never going to be, "I guess this isn't a phase." It was always going to be to ban social transition.

I don't know how many times I have to say this. You can't stop people from transitioning, you can only stop them from doing so safely. Given that hormones are among the most prescribed medications, it will be impossible to stop access.
