A nice quarter for stocks, divided neatly in halves: Tech-driven rip for six weeks, a peak in Mag7 coinciding with Cerebras IPO, followed by churn and rotation. Hard to fault the overall trend, but many anomalies and extremes show AI stocks threatening to outgrow their index containers. New column.

SCOTUS confirmed the bar to fire Fed officials for cause is higher than for other agencies where they effectively give the president free reign. Lisa Cook can stay on as Governor while the mortgage fraud case is litigated. That case has little to no merit and she is likely to prevail.

My bet: CMCSA tried to sell NBCU. But couldnt get interest. (Or there was disagreement on price.) So they'll let the market decide on price.

Before you say "Maybe Apple will buy NBC", just remember that Apple doesn't really do big acquisitions. They just don't.
