Look, I have no chill about ASECS. I won’t defend its every element, but dam if we don’t TRY. It’s been my academic home over half my life. I bring games TO my 18th century colleagues, like I’ve brought every weird thing I’ve ever studied. Happily, there’s many kind, generous weirdos in our ranks.

Not being sarcastic: this has really never been my experience of ASECS. The panels are exciting, and so are the hallway conversations. We don't have that many slides. Also we can't afford snack tables.
