This year has just been a constant reminder how I can’t read people and blindly trust based on just mild positive attention and how little of that I receive. It’s been a year of backstabbing and finding out how many relationships were simply because I didn’t leave and how convenient I was.

Apparently it’s a crime to remind military members to follow the law and refuse illegal orders (something that it is ingrained in basic) and the pentagon can recall you into the service to discipline you. However, the pentagon will not prosecute you for dodging the draft five times.

Whilst I appreciate the intent, telling people who want a relationship, which is an entirely normal thing to want, that “society places too much emphasis on romantic love” and “you should go to therapy and make sure you’re happy in yourself before you think about dating” comes across as unhinged.
