Im anxious right now cuz last night has me a bit worried that I might be losing my ability to play Magic the Gathering or st least commander. Like if I cant focus I cannot really enjoy the games and I play worse.

Looking back at last night's games I really had trouble being engaged cuz there was constant other stuff happening But early in the night my friend was talking directly to me and I couldn't hear her over a conversation next to me This makes me wonder if its my attention span being a problem

Banter tonight was much more fun than the actual games.

:/ played krark tonight and was reminded why i dont play storm.... though the vibes werent great in general with everyone playing distracted. Like I was just playing my turn and no one was doing anything and they were all just somewhere else entirely. I really dont enjoy that

I have like a bunch of DnD character ideas that don't approach the idea of class or race but start with a Philosophy. Cassius Geld is one character I can reblock into almost any class and race, because his whole deal is corruption and money.

Its sad how few games let you play a Genie, Demon, or some other sort of Corruptor/Deal Maker. That is MY ultimate fantasy, to have the power to give power to others... for a price Like everyone else sees Heroes and Dragons and so on, but im always looking at the devil or Varys from Game of Thrones

So commander tends to see players running almost 100 uniquely named cards but 60 card decks see you only running like why... 15-18 if you are running plyasets and like... no basics. This is pretty significant for deck building

So Chaos Wand is not just my favorite card but also a centet piece of my favorite commander deck. The deck gets introduced as my "Chaos Wand deck" and i make sure the emphsize that the plan is to steal opps Instants and Sorceries The deck always leads to interesting politics and conversations

A big thing about commander compard to other formats is that Singleton limit, so much that it bleeds into other games and formats It really rewards having a deep knowledge of cards, or maybe just obsessive tendencies and Scryfall lol

So I tried getting a Hoodie with this on it about a year or so ago... came in in women's sizes. Now for a much bigger hoodie and much fluffier one. Im going to be an even more outwards version of someone I was a decade ago, where I would talk about sexuality a lot... now I am going to wear it.

My Christmas consisted of having my friend survive her surgery and recover incredibly fast over the next 3 days while I was responsible for taking care of her. This was an incredibly good Christmas for me. One of the best since i was a kid. Now to assemble the Christmas gift for my friend lol

3 days of recovery and my friend is completely on her feet on her own and managing her way around the house without help This is after having her insides degloved, stripped of their lining... Honestly pretty incredible
