As always, the proof that AI will have no lasting impact on the arts is that it has produced nothing of value. It has been used in the creation of nothing of value. It has nothing to offer the pursuit of beauty and understanding.

More thoughts on the "nAtUrAlLy GiFtEd" AI conversation - as a former "gifted" kid who was told I had "natural talent" my entire childhood, it was only because I could not stop writing. I was making things up and putting them on paper since I was four. It's not innate talent, it's constant practice

I think if someone hates every part of the creative process then they don’t actually want to be an artist/writer/whatever. They just want the accolades for the end result, and don’t want to put in the work to get there. That’s not “hazing.” That’s “I want attention for bare minimum effort”

Oh no i am very sad now. Learning to make art is humiliating and "hazing"? I... i dont think anything of that "most art will be ai, the best artists will be creatives using ai" is even true. Just what an awful way to think about learning and growing! How sad!!!
