You have no idea how over I am with the animation cynicism I'm seeing online regarding films and whatnot. It's gone beyond frustrating for me as I think there's a difference between being skeptical of a new film to being fully dismissive of it. Seriously, just wait till it's out.

Rewatched Elio with my friends today after enduring Cars 2 (with commentary) with them yesterday. Man, that was the palate cleanser we all needed. We all love this movie so much.

Here’s my attempt at reinstating a deleted scene from Elio. Had to trim it a little to maintain continuity, but I think it works.

Of course, none of that will change the fact that I still absolutely love this movie and it will always been incredibly special to me. ❤️

If anything the best I can hope for is that it sends a message to the higher ups that “go woke go broke” also applies in the other direction. Hopefully there’s some soul-searching done on that end.

On one hand, for the movie it is, it absolutely deserved better than this. On the other hand, considering some of the circumstances that led to what we got, it’s hard for me to say this is COMPLETELY undeserved. What happened didn’t need to happen, and I think some price needed to be paid.

I love both movies but I’d really love if the worse part of the K-Pop: Demon Hunters fandom wouldn’t keep on rubbing Elio’s financial failure in our fucking face. 😖

Okay, so… I saw that whole exposé on what happened with Elio. I suppose I should give my thoughts. 🧵

Pixar movies should be Marvel level events that everyone is sat for and it's weird that they aren't these days. (Well the events Marvel USED to be at least lol)

Regardless of what happens to "Elio" during the rest of its theatrical run, I do think history will be kind to the movie and its story will mean a lot to the people who grow up with it.

There is no phrase that I want to see die a brutal death more than "CalArts Style". It's 2025 people, stop using that damn phrase. Besides, I like that the character designs we're getting pull influence from international animation like anime and Aardman. It's cool.

Hoppers comes out next March. Gatto comes out in June 2027. WDAS has an untitled original film out in November 2026. Pixar has another untitled original film set for June 2028. This isn't the end.

Just got out of Elio. I know nobody at Disney is gonna tell us if that was an autism movie but man does it sure feel like it. Probably one of the most relatable movie protagonists I've ever seen. Very sweet movie

Pixar is back with a new original film about a young boy who's desperate to get abducted by aliens and ends up getting his wish. Once again, they made another fantastic animated film that's both wonderful and heartfelt. Anyway, here's my review of Elio.

Holy crap, y'all. Elio is REALLY FUCKING GOOD. It's easily the best Pixar film I've seen in ages. I laughed. I cried. I had all the feels. Go see it this weekend!
