Update: I live! Though I did drop off the face of the planet for a while. 2025 decided to really show me a second act to its fuckery and I more or less devolved into a worker drone to conserve sanity and health. I’m just okay, and sometimes that’s enough to build from. :)

Been listening to a lot of music from y2k era lately. Two birds with one stone: Needed a little chibi practice and wanted to draw myself for once. Doing this without vectors has been quite the experience for such a small drawing.

Screwing around with screentone brushes on an older unfinished drawing after I broke one of ‘em. Named the character Yarrow but completely forgot any other notes other than he’s a dramatic lizard loosely based on a golden tegu.

I’m literally sitting on about 60 WIPs (give or take like 3). And that’s just for my Heathens passion project with my bf. Damn you 9-5! The ink yearns to finish them all eventually.

Doesn’t mean I’m giving up on doing the bigger stuff, just wanting to draw instead of going MIA productivity wise. My job absolutely consumes my hours, and ADHD/PTSD doesn’t play fair. STILL I desire to create. It makes me happy.

I really should just let my hand just make shit instead of giving myself paralysis over what to even tackle because I don’t have the mental faculty to go hard in the ink like I want given my ever oppressive schedule. Who likes shitty shorthand drawings?

Not getting to so much of a workout while in recovery has tanked my mental in a way I wasn’t quite expecting. Couple that with meds backfiring; I haven’t been myself. I’m normally quiet and ashamed of it. I’m working on being more transparent about it. I’m prone to these dips.

Been outta whack with meds for the past few days. It’s killin’ my productivity but I’m compelled to try anyway. I don’t wanna stop drawing again.
