On Monday, Oxford City Council near-unanimously supported the Green Party motion which made clear our city stands against the far right and against regressive migration policy - from banning asylum seekers from working to scrapping family reunion.

If you want places to be accessible to older and disabled people installing benches is one very helpful thing to do. Seems a few people are worried that young people will sit on a bench and be a bit annoying, so the bench won’t be installed after all.

I had to leave the Green Party Conference early today to visit the mosque that was firebombed in Peacehaven. It's times like this we've got to come together as a community to stamp out hate and those thay seek to divide us.

The blog is worth reading for this masterpiece alone: "At the same time, orbiting the vacuum of leadership and sense that is Badenoch like a small and terribly aggrieved moon is Robert Jenrick." It's an interesting argument - non-Tory voters would benefit from a more competent Tory party.

They called us scum, pedos (for some reason) and “Jew haters”. Some of them shouted “pop the boats and drown them all”, unchallenged by their mates. We held up signs like these.

My thoughts and prayers are with all those injured in today’s attack at a synagogue on Yom Kippur, and with the wider Jewish community. No one should feel unsafe in their place of worship. We must all work to calm tensions, stand together, and reaffirm our shared commitment to peace and solidarity

I cannot condemn this strongly enough. An antisemitic (and suspected terror) attack at a synagogue on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar - in the context of increasing antisemitism across the UK. My thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims. May their memories be a blessing.
