Citizen Action Illinois accurately points out that Trump’s Big Ugly Bill hurts families who depend on SNAP. The advocacy group targeted GOP Rep. Darin LaHood for supporting Trump’s disastrous legislation. “The fact is that everyday people will suffer from these slashes,” said organizer King Moosa.

“This blatant corporate handout will do nothing to encourage additional investments, as it is impossible to incentivize economic activity that has already happened,” Sen. Warren wrote, as corporations are expected to claim $16 billion in new tax breaks this year for purchases they had already made.
